SMS terms and opt-in
Last updated August 27, 2026
What ServiceFront sends by text, who gets it, how often, and how to stop. This page shows the consent a business owner sees before any message is sent.
The two message programs
ServiceFront is the AI front desk for service businesses. Two kinds of text come out of it, and they work differently.
- Lead alerts, to the business owner. When a customer leaves their details with a business's front desk, we text that business's owner so they can follow up fast. Recipients are the business owners who signed up for ServiceFront, on the number they confirmed themselves.
- One-time passcodes, to a customer. When a homeowner gives a front desk their number, we text one passcode to confirm the number is really theirs. It's sent once per request and it isn't marketing.
We don't send marketing or promotional texts on either program.
How an owner opts in
Opt-in happens in the owner console, after signing up, on the “Confirm your phone” card. The owner enters or confirms their own mobile number, reads the consent below, and taps Send code. Nothing is sent until they do. They then type the one-time code back in to prove they control the number, which is what completes the opt-in.
This is the card, as it appears in the product:
Verify a number now so lead alerts are ready the moment SMS turns on.
By confirming, you agree to get text alerts about your leads at this number. How often depends on your lead volume. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP any time. See our Privacy Policy.
The consent text shown at that step, in full:
By confirming, you agree to get text alerts about your leads at this number. How often depends on your lead volume. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP any time.
Customers opting into a passcode text consent at the point they give a business's front desk their number, in the same conversation, for that single confirmation message.
Message frequency
Lead alerts are event-driven, not a scheduled campaign, so volume tracks the business. A busy shop might get several texts a day; a quiet week might bring none. Passcodes are one message per verification request.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. ServiceFront doesn't charge for the texts themselves. What you pay depends on your mobile plan and carrier.
How to stop, and how to get help
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We confirm once, then stop texting that number.
- Reply HELP for help, or email hello@servicefront.ai.
- Owners can also remove a confirmed number in the owner console at any time.
Opting out of texts doesn't close your account or stop your front desk. We fall back to email for lead alerts.
Carrier support
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on the carrier and isn't guaranteed.
Privacy
We never sell or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. Our messaging providers see a number only to deliver that message. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and the service terms are in our Terms.
